January in Review
Well, January marked my triumphant return to Eve after a short hiatus over the holiday break. I was glad to find myself still in good company in The Tuskers despite my absence and quickly got back to work killing stuff in lowsec.
Kills: 27 for 2.88 Billion ISK in damage
Losses: 5 for 0.17 Billion ISK in loss
The kills were a bit scarce on the ground apart from a couple of really productive days, but considering I was not ‘back’ in game until January 11th, I figure I didn’t do too bad on average (since my actual playtime in-game is somewhere in the 8-12 hour range per week, with much of that spent roaming aimlessly or doing logistics and spring cleaning).
No ransoms were had, however I did get roughly 160 million ISK in drops and another 25 million ISK in salvage from wrecks, which meant I just barely got into the black for the month at a net gain of 15 million ISK.
The fights were pretty fun for the most part and included smashing up a bunch of fail gate campers in Parts, being primaried (twice) and eluding death in a sizeable BC on BC brawl against Shadow Cartel, and a nifty little fight in Tama against Red Fed.
Out of game, I got back to blogging with rundowns of said ‘GUD FITES’, as well as a breakdown of the recent CSM Minutes. I made it as a finalist in GuildLaunch.com’s contest to find their first Eve correspondent (though I have a feeling I will not make the final cut due to the likes of Goonswarm’s Endie and Freebooted’s Seismic Stan), took over www.evebloggers.com from Black Claw, and reentered Rixx Javix’s Eve Blog Pack.
My plans for February? Well, I’d like to begin by blowing more stuff up! Beyond that, I’ll be getting a better grasp on evebloggers.com, blogging some more here about the upcoming CSM7 candidates as they appear, and hopefully I’ll find a podcasting gig (sooner rather than later? Who knows…). For now, though, I’m really glad to be back in-game and involved with the Eve community. It’s looking like a very bright new year.
Fly Smart,
Marc
